FAQ
Q1: How do you calculate the volume of a translation?
A1: We always analyze the source volume of the translation projects, that is to say in the language in which the document to be translated is written. The unit of measurement used by Meditradox is per word, respectively per standard page (300 words). The prices differ according to the text's difficulty or to the urgency imposed by the customer's needs (SERVICES). If your document is in Microsoft Word format, you may assess the volume of the material to be translated by accessing the menu Tools > Word Count.
Q2. How fast can you finish the translation?
A2: The normal term for the execution of a translation with a normal to medium degree of difficulty, from the group of the main European languages and within the normal working hours, is about 10 pages/day/translator. In case of difficult translations or from less widespread languages, this volume may decreaseto 5 to 6 pages/day/translator.
For urgent works, the translators need to make an additional effort in order to manage to translate a much larger number of pages in a short time (extra hours or work during the night, week-ends, holidays etc.). Therefore, their payment is supplemented proportionally with the work done, and for this reason we request that you pay the urgency fee.
Q3. What happens if I have a document of 100 pages and I need it to be translated in 3 days?
A3: In this case, we will need a least three translators who will simultaneously translate your materials, and the translation will be subsequently checked and assembled in the format desired by the customer. The decision is taken immediately after we received your order, according to the degree to which our translators are busy and to the assignment's complexity.
However in the ideal situation a single translator - or the smallest possible number of translators - handle the translation itself. This ensures a better stylistic and terminological consistency and the majority of the possible sources of mistakes are eliminated.
Meditradox guarantees you that the delivery deadline will always be respected with maximum priority. This is expressly stipulated in our contractual provisions, thus offering you a real quality for a fair price.
Q4. How can I assure myself of the translation's accuracy?
A4: Each translation follows a work process which includes: (a) the initial translation made by a member of Meditradox; (b)proofreading of the translation by another member,(c) correcting and (d)drawing up the document in electronic and/or printed format. (WORKFLOW)
If you wish an additional verification of the quality of the translation, you can contact another specialized company or another professional translator in order to carry out the editing of the translation document. Of course, you will pay for this service even if there are not identified any translation or editing errors.
Q5. Do you also do DTP?
A5: Yes, upon request we also provide DTP services to our customers (SERVICES)
Q6: Do you also provide legalized translations?
A6: We are prepared to meet your company’s demand to save time and other resources, offering you all services connected to the translation, as well as legalized or supralegalized translations (Apostille of the Hague Convention). These connex services will be charged separately and they include the notary fees, respectively our extra fee. (SERVICES)
Q7. How can you receive or send the translatable documents
A7: The translations are delivered by e-mail, they are handed in and taken out personally or sent via snail-mail to the customer’s address. The translations may be printed and/or saved in electronic format.
If you wish to receive them via snail-mail, please take into consideration that at least one extra day is needed for delivery after the completion of the translation.
